Selection Criteria for Remote Indicator
Following are some minimum requirement applicable for remote indicator, however requirements vary from industry to industry.
Remote indicators shall be .suitable for connection to smoke and heat detectors and shall be used to provide annunciation for the smoke/ heat detectors installed in places that are not easily accessible or visible.
The remote indicators shall be suitable for operation from the detection loop power supply.
Alarm and power on indication shall be provided on the remote indicator unit with provision for cable connection.
When used with IS detectors, the indicator unit shall not invalidate system certification.
Units shall be suitable for surface or flush mounting as required to suit the area of installation
