Hai guys, i have a problem in my job. Anyone can explain how to measure interface level with DP? Actually now we are using displacer type. But the transmitter sometimes error.

A simple method to measure the interface level with Dp transmitter:
Fill the tank 100% with low specific gravity fluid and set the zero.
Fill the tank 100% with high specific gravity fluid and set the span.
Done… a best simplest method.
If you cannot fill the tank for your calibration.
Set the zero and span based on gravity of low and high fluid keeping the height of the tank same.

yes,you can use transmitter to measure interface level. I agree vikash’s comment. It’ s great ! but sometimes at the startup, the density difference of the medium is small or the medium is emulsified, which will lead to the stratification between the medium is not obvious, and the measured data is inaccurate.
Yes, you can use a DP transmitter to measure interface level. Capacitive or ultrasonic level transmitters are also common devices.
