RAEGuard 2 PID Gas Detector

Gents,

We are going to install RAEGuard 2 PID Detector as Inline, what kind of interface is required between the detector inlet and 3/4" pipe? it is used to detect Benzene after it pass through carbon filters through vent. see the attached P&ID and the manual of the detector in the below link.

Hi…the RAEGuard 2 PID has a realistic presentation and neighborhood sound caution and LED light status pointer. Likewise, Low, High, and Fault transfers can be arranged to trigger outer cautions or interaction controls. An attractive key interface empowers the locator to be aligned and functional boundaries changed with the blast verification fenced in area set up.

The RAEGuard 2 PID (Photoionization Detector) from Honeywell RAE Systems is a fixed gas detector often used for volatile organic compound (VOC) detection, including substances like benzene. When installed inline with a process stream, it’s important to ensure that the connections are properly made to maintain system integrity and prevent leaks.

Typically, you’ll want to use an appropriate adaptor fitting to connect your detector inlet to the 3/4" pipe. The specific type of adaptor will depend on the inlet size and connection type of the RAEGuard 2 PID detector.

You should also ensure that the materials used for the adaptor are compatible with benzene and any other substances that may be present in your system.

Another important point is to make sure that the flow rate and pressure of the process stream is within the operating range of the detector. Over-pressuring the detector could cause damage or faulty readings.
